No. The AHA requires that all online classes include an in-person, hands-on Skills Check. You cannot get certified by the AHA without completing a skills check following an online class.
Any company that promises online only certification is NOT associated with the American Heart Association.
WARNING: There are many Online CPR, BLS, ACLS and PALS online classes that are advertised. Most are not American Heart Association (AHA) approved. Healthcare employers require American Heart Association certifications. Taking a course that is not approved would be a waste of time and money. You can usually find this information on the website offering the course in the Terms and Conditions area (usually a small link at the bottom of the page) or the FAQ’s area of the website. You cannot receive an American Heart Association certification card entirely online! An in-person skills session is always required.
You will receive the Keycode and Instructions to activate your online course within 24 hours of purchase. It will arrive via email directly from the American Heart Association (AHA). If for some reason you do not receive the email after 24 hours, first check your SPAM folder. If it’s not there, then please contact us so we can assist you further.
