Additional Comments:  I need to add to my previous survey that I previously submitted for my class on 3/21/2024. I think it is genius to have a paramedic teach ACLS. The examples Johanna used and scenarios she gave us were situations that would be experienced in the hospital setting and they were spot on. I’m a ICU nurse and I really appreciate her way of teaching. I was a bit nervous when we had to verbalize amongst the group what we were doing and I was messing up. But Joanna was patient and really helpful. The mannequins BLS and ACLS were great tools. I think it was cool having  ET tubes and oral airways available for the learners to see. The IO with the drill, and the board with the option of practicing was cool too. I’ve never been to a ACLS class that had props for the learners to see up close. GREAT IMPROVEMENT from when I took the renewal class 2 years ago.

Additional Comments:  I need to add to my previous review of Joanna. She gave amazing examples of various situations and REALISTIC. Having a instructor whose background is a paramedic is GENIUS. I have taken this class before and dreaded returning for my renewal. But Joanna made me tune  in. I found myself taking a lot of notes bc her way of teach made the info exciting to learn more. I really like how she gave us the page numbers in the book as well.

Additional Comments:  Johanna did great instructing the class. She is very knowledgeable. I left the class with tidbits on things I thought I already knew. She has a way of making the pieces of the puzzle come together. I left the class feeling informed. It was so worth it.
